What a label folder does.
A label folder forms and positions a label for attachment, folding the label edges under and presenting it square to the needle so a machine sews it cleanly to the product. It is the folding and guiding side of label attachment, turning a loose label into one held in the right place and orientation for sewing.
The folder is sized to the label and matched to whether the label is inserted into a seam, folded and sewn on all sides, or attached with its ends tucked. It holds the label square through the sewing pass, which is what keeps a brand or care label from ending up crooked, the most common and most visible label defect.
